Chatsworth is the home of the Duke of Devonshire, in the middle of England. This home has been the setting of many romantic British movies and shows, most notably the recent version of Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightley. It’s a highly impressive home, filled with priceless artwork. I didn’t like it quite as much as Castle Howard, though it is equally lived-in. It felt more touristy and less personal. The art though… holy cow! While I was there, the Duke had an exhibition up for the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation, showing off the carriage he and his mother rode in to the coronation fifty years ago, along with their clothing. Enjoy the photos!
