A lovely ice storm yesterday meant we had no power most of the day. It was okay, though. The house stayed pretty warm, and Henry was picked up by his daddy in the morning so we didn’t have a wee boy’s boredom to contend with. We ate cold meals until dinner, then cooked pasta on the camp stove out on the back porch. We even had hot cocoa! All was lovely. Power came back on today about 9am, which is good, as the house was beginning to feel very cold.
Here are two pictures from my icy world. More will go up on Snapbugblog, of course.
Icicles on the roof line (first time in my memory around here, but as Bill likes to point out, I missed the Big Ice Storm of ’96)
